Are and DT Teacher to cover for a maternity leave
About the Role
A vibrant and forward‑thinking secondary school in Bradford is seeking a passionate and creative Art and Design Technology Teacher to join their team on a full‑time basis. This maternity cover position will begin immediately after February Half Term and will involve teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a supportive and well‑resourced department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons in Art and DT aligned with the national curriculum.
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work to support progress and attainment.
- Create a positive and inspiring classroom environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
- Maintain excellent behaviour management and promote a culture of respect and ambition.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Creative and Technology faculties to enhance the curriculum and extra‑curricular opportunities.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Art and/or Design Technology at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for fostering creativity in young people.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
