DT Teacher Part-time - Birmingham

The Role: Teacher of D&T
Location: South east Birmingham

We are currently working on behalf of a Secondary School in south east Birmingham.

The school is highly focused on raising standards on pupil achievement by offering a comprehensive and well-rounded curriculum, resulting in excellent student progress. The school has achieved a ‘gold status’ award from Investors in People, which reflects the school’s strong commitment to employee well-being and support. The Design and Technology department is part of the vocational faculty, and it is particularly popular at KS4. It also is well resourced. Please find below more information of what is required and the details of the role:

  • A Qualified Teacher to carry out long-term cover in their D & T department
  • The person concerned will be responsible for planning, teaching and assessing the curriculum up to GCSE level.
  • This role will commence on the 18th of November 2024. It is a part-time, on term-time only timesheet basis.
  • This position is to cover a member of staff who will be leaving the department at the end of the autumn term, and there will be a handover period at the beginning of the contract.
  • The school will be advertising the role in the spring term, any person carrying out the role on a temporary basis would be welcome to apply.
