Job Title: Design and Technology (DT) Teacher (Resistant Materials, Textiles & Design)

Location: Crawley

Job Type: Temporary (Ongoing Sickness Cover)

Salary: Paid to scale from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging DT lessons with a focus on resistant materials, textiles, and design.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Maintain a safe and organised classroom, ensuring all equipment and materials are used responsibly.
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo a new check.
  • Experience teaching DT, with a focus on resistant materials, textiles, and design.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
