Job Opportunity: Children's Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (Female Only) in Bath
Salary: £26,000 per year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Requirements: Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes
Responsibilities:
Provide regular 1:1 therapeutic interventions for children and young people (CYP) in schools and at home.
Participate in an on-call out-of-hours rota (approximately 1 in every 4 weeks).
Support young survivors transitioning from refuge to independent accommodation.
Act as the primary point of contact for safeguarding issues related to CYP experiencing harm.
Requirements:
Knowledge of safeguarding frameworks for children and adults, with the ability to advise on appropriate options for young survivors.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and the effects of domestic violence on young people.
