Your new school

Hays Education are working in partnership with a range of primary schools across Telford to recruit dedicated and adaptable Primary Supply Teachers for the new academic year. We are supporting schools across Telford and surrounding areas, offering a variety of opportunities tailored to suit your availability and career goals.

Your new role

As a Supply Teacher, you will work across a diverse mix of Infant, Junior and Primary schools, with opportunities available in both mainstream and SEND settings.
We are recruiting for:
  • Day-to-day (DD) supply cover
  • Long-term (LT) roles, with or without planning responsibilities, depending on school needs
You will benefit from a mixture of same-day and pre-booked assignments, giving you both flexibility and consistency where required.
Supply cover is required for a variety of reasons, including:
  • Same-day and short-term sickness
  • Doctor’s appointments and medical leave
  • Operation recovery periods
  • Bereavement leave
  • PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover
  • SLT and ECT release time
  • Course and training cover
Many of these opportunities can also lead to temporary-to-permanent positions, with schools often offering permanent contracts following successful day-to-day or long-term supply placements. Whether you are seeking full-time or part-time work, we can offer roles to suit your preferences, with the opportunity to experience a variety of school environments across Telford.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching within primary settings (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A flexible, reliable and proactive approach
