Design Technology Teacher job in Leicester – Immediate start required
Design Technology Teacher – Resistant Materials
We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 secondary school in Leicester who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed DT Teacher who is immediately available to provide long-term cover. This is a part-time job working 4 days a week, excluding Tuesday until Easter 2026. Due to this being a long-term job, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking.

Job Description:
- Teach engaging lessons in Resistant Materials and Product Design
- Use tools like CAD/CAM, 3D printers, and laser cutters
- Support students with GCSE Design & Technology projects
- Keep the workshop safe, organised, and inspiring
- Get involved in clubs and projects like STEM, robotics, or eco-design
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
- Recent experience teaching DT/Resistant Materials at secondary school level
- Strong behaviour/classroom management.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
- Hold an in-date health & safety workshop certificate
- A passion for hands-on learning and creativity
