Art / Design Technology Teacher – Flexible Opportunities (ECTs & Experienced Teachers Welcome)

Are you a creative and passionate Art or Design Technology Teacher looking for your next opportunity? Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) yet to secure a permanent role, or an experienced teacher seeking flexibility, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently working with a number of schools looking for dedicated Art and DT Teachers to support their departments. This is an excellent opportunity to gain varied experience, develop your teaching practice, and make a meaningful impact on students’ creativity and learning.

The Role:
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Art and/or Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Encourage creativity, practical skills, and independent thinking
  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Support pupils in developing their artistic and technical abilities

This Role Would Suit:
  • ECTs who have not yet secured a permanent position and are looking to build experience
  • Experienced teachers seeking flexibility or a better work-life balance
  • Teachers returning to the classroom

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Art, Design Technology, or a related subject
  • Recent experience teaching within the UK curriculum (placements accepted for ECTs)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
