Interim Senior Finance Business Manager | Multi-Academy Trust | Up to 6Months | £500 DailyRate | N. Manchester

Multi-Academy Trust based on-site in North Manchester with exciting plans for growth over the coming year.

Your new role
You will join as Interim Senior Finance Business Manager/Deputy CFO, reporting to the CEO and COO, and play a pivotal role in stabilising and leading the finance function during a period of significant change.

Responsibilities include:
  • Set and manage the school budget in partnership with the SLT in adherence to trust financial policies and standards.
  • Lead the finance team to ensure compliant, effective, efficient systems ensuring the team is well equipped, and suitably trained and developed to deliver end to end financial processes.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the central finance team to secure consistent and compliant financial management.
  • Support in the preparation of monthly management accounts, and cash flow statements.
  • Managing a central finance team and supporting school business managers.
  • Implementing processes to manage increased workload and risk as the Trust expands.
  • Acting as part of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with Heads and Deputies.
  • Overseeing all business support services including finance, HR, student services, admin, operations, IT, facilities, catering, and cleaning (with team leaders in each area).

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or a senior finance leader in Education.
  • Ability to lead through transition and growth, with strong strategic and operational finance skills.
  • Excellent people skills – able to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Qualified accountant background preferred but QBE will be considered.
  • Education sector experience is highly desirable.
