Your new company

The team operates in a hybrid environment, offering both office and home‑working flexibility. Part of a wider system committed to reducing inequalities and improving service delivery. A collaborative, multi‑disciplinary environment supporting procurement and contract management.

Your new role

You’ll work as an Assistant Contract Manager, supporting a dedicated Contracts & Procurement function and helping manage a small portfolio of service contracts. The role includes both contract administration and contributing to wider procurement and commissioning activity.

  • Act as first point of contact for providers and stakeholders.
  • Lead or support service procurements within your contract portfolio.
  • Monitor contract performance, risks, issues and financial/quality data.
  • Organise and chair relevant contracting meetings.
  • Maintain contract documentation, variations and registers in line with SOPs.

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll bring strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills, along with experience in contract or project support roles. A background in public sector or health-related environments is advantageous but not essential.

  • Ability to interpret complex performance, financial and quality data.
  • Experience in contract management, procurement, project delivery or similar.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Confidence handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

What you'll get in return

  • Hybrid working with agreed home/office balance. Must be able to commute to Bristol regularly.
  • Opportunity to develop procurement and contract management expertise.
  • Weekly paid timesheets, via the option of the relative chosen payment method. This could be PAYE or Umbrella as this role site Inside IR35.
  • You will gain access to Hays worker discounts.
