Senior ERP Programme Manager | Oxford | Hybrid

Your new role

As Senior ERP Programme Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex, multi-year transformation programmes, including the implementation of enterprise-wide systems such as ERP. You will advise senior leaders, shape strategic direction, and ensure alignment with organisational priorities. You will structure and manage large-scale programmes, oversee cross-functional teams and budgets, and matrix-manage multiple project managers across diverse workstreams. You will tackle complex, often unprecedented challenges, drive execution, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Through rigorous planning, governance, and data-driven decision-making, you will ensure successful outcomes and lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of large-scale, cross-organisational transformation programmes and ERP implementation projects to deliver strategic change and business benefits.
  • Establish and manage senior governance structures, influencing leadership through expert guidance and programme delivery insight.
  • Matrix-manage project teams and resources, ensuring delivery against milestones, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues, managing interdependencies across multiple projects and workstreams.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation and business case development to implementation and closure, maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Manage third-party supplier relationships and contractual obligations to ensure effective delivery.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and alignment with approved constraints.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, enhancing team practices and delivery effectiveness.

Experience, Knowledge & Competencies

  • Proven experience leading complex, multi-project transformation programmes from inception to completion.
  • Strong background in business change management within large-scale organisational transformation.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and support cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Demonstrates feminist leadership principles, including self-awareness, strategic thinking, agility in complexity, and the ability to influence effectively.
