As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving the business forward through data-driven decision-making. You will:
- Conduct full lifecycle analysis of business processes, including data requirements, activities, and design.
- Create, implement, and own the data analysis and reporting strategy for the group.
- Deliver data solutions using various tools to enable insight, performance monitoring, and quality control.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to define data models and deliver practical data solutions.
- Gather and define requirements, interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
- Design, develop, and implement databases, data collection systems, and data analytics strategies.
- Acquire data from primary and secondary sources, maintain databases, and improve data quality.
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Lead multidisciplinary virtual teams to deliver complex end-to-end data solutions.
- Mentor team members and train others in the business to deliver their own data solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
Your success in this role will be driven by your:
- Degree or higher in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
- Proven experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.
- Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of reporting packages (e.g., Power BI), databases (e.g., SQL), and programming (e.g., XML, Javascript).
- Experience with statistical packages for analysing datasets (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to collate business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Experience of managing projects and utilising data from business systems and third-party sources.
- Knowledge of ERP systems in manufacturing and data requirements therein.
