- Ensure robust systems, processes and controls are in place to support the safe and effective delivery of world‑class science.
- Anticipate emerging threats, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement across the security function.
- Safeguard the organisation’s people, facilities, information and reputation through strong governance and operational excellence.
- Build trusted relationships with national security agencies, supply chains, partners and internal stakeholders.
- Provide inspirational leadership to internal teams, contractors and consultants, building a high‑performing, customer‑focused culture.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and organisational obligations, including health, safety, environmental, quality and security standards.
- Act as a visible ambassador for my client, representing the organisation with professionalism and integrity.
About You
You will bring:
- Proven experience developing and implementing security strategies in complex or high‑sensitivity environments.
- A track record of aligning security needs with business objectives, taking a proactive approach to threat identification and risk anticipation.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of inspiring teams and communicating mission and impact with clarity.
- Experience working effectively with national security agencies and a wide network of stakeholders.
- Excellent distinguishabilities and influencing capabilities, with confidence operating at executive level.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, service quality and operational excellence.
Security Requirements
Due to the nature of the work:
- You must hold, or be able to obtain, BPSS clearance.
- You must hold an unrestricted SC clearance, or have the ability to obtain it.
Please note: applications will be reviewed and interviews held throughout the advertising period. The closing date may be brought forward, so early applications are encouraged.
