We're Hiring: School Receptionists/Administrators - September Start

Hays Education are a leading recruitment agency working closely with Primary, Secondary and SEND Schools across the Greater Manchester area. We are currently recruiting for experienced and aspiring School Administrators to fill a range of exciting roles for the new academic year.

Location: Various Schools Across Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Temporary, Permanent, Temp to Perm
Hours: Full-time, part-time, term-time only
Salary: £13.68 - £15.50/hour DOE

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Managing front office reception and phone lines
  • Handling pupil attendance records and registers
  • Updating and maintaining school management information systems
  • Supporting SLT with administrative tasks
  • Assisting with admissions and events
  • Acting as a first point of contact for parents, pupils, staff and visitors

Key Skills/Experience:
  • Previous experience in a school or busy office environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with school MIS - SIMS, Arbour, Bromcom or other similar
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • A friendly, approachable manner with a commitment to confidentiality
