Amey are looking to add a painter on a temp to perm contract to join their maintenance team to meet growing demand for work completion and delivery. Your new role
Planned and reactive paint work in all areas of the prison: staff rooms, kitchens, visitors' receptions and interior and exterior walls. All tools, paint and equipment will be supplied by site. Responsibility for the care and maintenance of tools, materials and additional company property.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:
* Must hold a City & Guilds, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Painting and decorating or an equivalent qualification
* Substantiated experience in a similar role can be considered as an alternative to formal qualifications
What you'll get in return
You will be paid weekly. You will receive all the relevant training as well as health and safety inductions. You will be working a Monday to Friday shift pattern, 39 hours per week, with an opportunity for overtime. The regular working hours are 08:00–17:00 with breaks unpaid. These hours may differ slightly to meet site requirements.
Documentation Required
- Security Clearance by the prison (Hays will organise this for you)
- You must hold a valid passport or Birth Certificate & Photo Driving Licence at your current address.
- Proof of National Insurance
- Proof of address dated from the past 3 months.
- All applicants must be able to provide details of at least 3 years of satisfactory references.
- Due to the location of the prison establishment, your own transport is essential.
