Temp Credit Controller Role In Events Industry

Your new company

Join a dynamic events company based in Waterloo, known for delivering high-profile experiences across the UK and internationally. The finance team plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and financial stability, and they are now seeking a skilled Temp Credit Controller to support their collections and billing functions.

Location: Waterloo
Working pattern: 9-6pm
Hybrid: 3 days a week in the office
Contract: 2–3 months
Day rate: £150-£175 PAYE

Your new role

My client is looking for a strong collections professional with a solid understanding of billing processes. The ideal candidate will be proactive, confident in chasing outstanding payments, and able to manage a portfolio of client accounts with professionalism and efficiency.

  • Proactively chase outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Manage aged debt and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve billing queries and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions and payment statuses.
  • Prepare debtor reports and escalate problematic accounts where necessary.
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc billing tasks and reconciliations.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in credit control, ideally within the events, media, or creative industries, but will look at strong applicants
  • Strong collections background with a track record of reducing aged debt.
  • Familiarity with billing systems and financial software.
  • NetSuite desirable but not essential
  • Salesforce desirable
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
