Fund Accountant / Fund Controller job opportunity can be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh

Your new company

Our client, a leading global investment management business have a new job opportunity for a qualified accountant to join them as Fund Controller / Fund Accountant to be based out of either Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Your new role

The purpose of the role is to support the management and control of the financial reporting function for funds within the European business and to provide the business with relevant, accurate and timely financial information.

Responsibility will include overseeing the team’s day-to-day relationship with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) in relation to the provision of fund accounting and administration services for the funds.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant, and it's most likely the successful candidate will have experience of either:
  • Fund, Asset & Wealth Management Audit experience gained working within a reputable Chartered accountancy firm
  • A Fund Accountant or Fund Controller role working for an investment, fund, real estate, asset management or wealth management business
  • A Financial Reporting Accountant role working for an investment, fund, real estate, asset management or wealth management business
You will be able to demonstrate experience of implementation of efficiencies identified within operational/financial processes and be familiar with International Financial Reporting Standards.
Furthermore, you should be able to work autonomously and as part of a team within a deadline-driven environment and will demonstrate strong communication skills.
