Your new role

  • Own Your Ledger:
    Take charge of a varied caseload, applying your knowledge of recovery cycles to maximise collections across multiple debt types.
  • Engage with Purpose:
    Communicate confidently with debtors and third parties via phone, email, and post—including sensitive cases involving vulnerable individuals or estate representatives.
  • Drive Results:
    Make proactive contact to negotiate payment plans, recommend Direct Debits, and secure sustainable repayment arrangements.
  • Escalate Strategically:
    Identify when to refer cases to external agencies or legal channels, and monitor outcomes to ensure effective resolution.
  • Influence Decisions:
    Prepare clear, evidence-based recommendations for debt write-offs where appropriate.
  • Stay Organised:
    Maintain accurate, up-to-date records using systems such as Agresso and ContrOCC.
  • Work with Integrity:
    Ensure all actions meet service level agreements, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have at least 1 year's experience in debt collection or credit control, preferably from a B2C industry where you have had to manage vulnerable people (Charities etc.), but it is not essential.

What you'll get in return

The role will pay a salary between £23.5K - £27.5K, enjoy professional development support and opportunities to gain qualifications.
