CREDIT CONTROLLER, INDUSTRY, PERM, HYBRID, 4 DAY WEEK

Your new company
As Credit Controller, you will take ownership of reducing aged debt and maintaining a professional and efficient credit control process. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality and a proactive approach to customer engagement.

Your new role
  • Monitoring outstanding debt and ensuring timely collection
  • Managing daily enquiries via email, telephone and correspondence
  • Maintaining accurate customer and third‑party records
  • Liaising with accounts on reconciliations and resolving posting errors
  • Following up overdue payments and contacting debtors regularly
  • Handling billing queries with internal teams
  • Processing incoming payments (cheques, BACS, cash)
  • Reviewing and improving credit control procedures
  • Working to strict deadlines and escalating cases where required
  • Contributing to process development and assisting with staff training
  • Providing regular updates to the Accounts Manager

What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Credit Control
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • High accuracy and excellent IT skills (Microsoft & accounting systems)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A professional, positive approach with strong problem‑solving skills
  • Commitment to confidentiality and high standards
  • (Desirable) 5 GCSEs A–C including Maths & English


What you'll get in return

  • Initially 5 day week for first 6 months (35 hours) Reduces to 4days (28hours) Salary stays same!!
