Credit Controller job in Lanarkshire

Your new company
Based in North Lanarkshire, our client is recruiting for a Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be joining a well-established, growing organisation. The hours of work are Monday–Friday 9am–5pm and there is flexibility offered with start and finish times. The organisation offers hybrid working after the initial training period with up to 3 days in office and 2 days from home. There is on-site parking.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working as part of a busy finance team, you will take ownership of the credit control for the organisation. This is a high volume position with a varied ledger that would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, variety, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in building client relationships.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Credit control via telephone and email
  • Opening new accounts and credit checking
  • Ensuring client information and details are accurate
  • Handling invoice queries
  • Liaison with internal stakeholders across a range of departments and offices
  • Preparing reports for management
  • General associated credit and finance administration
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys taking ownership of their own workload whilst working as part of an effective team.
You will ideally have:
  • Previous Credit Control Experience
  • Comfortable working with a range of systems (Navision, Excel and Salesforce experience preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
  • A proactive approach to work
  • The ability to prioritise a varied workload in a fast-paced environment
