Hays are delighted to represent a leading commercial law firm in Belfast, currently recruiting a Banking and Finance Solicitor (NQ+) to join their team in Belfast.

Your new role

• Provide expert legal advice to clients on a variety of banking and finance matters, including loan agreements, security documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in the management and execution of banking and finance transactions, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents related to banking and finance, including facility agreements, security documents, and intercreditor agreements.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on banking and finance transactions, identifying potential risks and advising clients accordingly.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing timely and effective communication throughout the transaction process.
• Work closely with colleagues across different departments to provide integrated legal solutions and support business development initiatives.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends, conducting research and analysis to support client advice and firm initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful candidate for this role, you will be a qualified solicitor in NI (NQ+) with previous experience in banking and finance law, through pre and/or post qualified experience.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and client-focused. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
