Teaching Assistant (SEND Support) – Preston
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? Do you have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Preston, who are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Your new role
Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on experience
Providing 1:1 and small group support for children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and speech & language needs
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans
Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with SEND
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
