We can offer you a friendly and supportive Primary School in Tower Hamlets. They are seeking a PPA Cover Teacher to join their team ASAP. You will be responsible for covering the planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time of our class teachers, delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum and school policies. You will work with children from across a range of subjects and abilities. You will also liaise with the class teachers, the senior leadership team and other staff members to ensure continuity and progression in learning.
As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare engaging and differentiated lessons for various year groups and subjects, using the school's schemes of work and resources.
- Deliver lessons that meet the learning objectives and outcomes and cater for the diverse needs of all pupils.
- Assess and mark pupils' work, providing constructive feedback and reporting on their progress and attainment.
- Manage the behaviour of pupils in line with the school's behaviour policy, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with the class teachers, providing them with relevant information and feedback on the pupils' learning and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with other staff members, contributing to the school's ethos and vision.
- Participate in relevant professional development opportunities, keeping up to date with current pedagogy and best practice.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience of teaching across the primary age range and curriculum
- Excellent subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning
- A commitment to inclusion and diversity
- A positive attitude and a sense of humour
- Enhanced DBS checks
