Hays are delighted to offer a Full-Time Secondary Cover Supervisor job in Horsham.

Secondary Cover Supervisor | Horsham | £110 - £130 Per Day | Full Time

This school in Horsham is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their thriving secondary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play a meaningful role in supporting their learning and development.

In this role, you will help maintain continuity in the classroom when teachers are absent. You will supervise classes across a range of subjects, ensuring students stay on task and engage positively with the work set. Although you will not be required to teach new content, your presence will help create a calm, purposeful environment where learning can continue smoothly.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supervising lessons across different year groups and subject areas.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Supporting students as they complete pre-prepared work.
- Ensuring a positive, respectful atmosphere that encourages learning.
- Assisting with general school duties when required.

You will work closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team, becoming a valued part of the school community. This role is varied and fast-paced. One moment you may be guiding a Year 8 class through a creative task, and the next you might be supporting older students with independent study.

This position is ideal for:
- Individuals considering a future career in teaching.
- Graduates looking for school-based experience.
- Confident communicators who enjoy working with young people.
- Experienced support staff seeking a new challenge.

We offer ongoing professional development to help you grow in the role. If you are adaptable, proactive, and passionate about helping students succeed, it would be great to hear from you.
