Hays Education is working in partnership with a secondary school to recruit an experienced Health & Social Care Teacher to cover sickness on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and committed teacher who can confidently deliver Health & Social Care to KS3/4 and/or KS5 and who has strong experience with assessment, moderation, and Internal Verification (IV) processes.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured Health & Social Care lessons
- Assess student work in line with awarding body requirements
- Contribute to or lead moderation and Internal Verification processes
- Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
- Work collaboratively with department staff to ensure continuity during sickness absence
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Proven experience teaching Health & Social Care
- Strong knowledge of moderation and IV requirements
- The ability to adapt quickly and provide high-quality cover
- A professional, reliable, and supportive approach
