Probate/private client CILEx lawyer/solicitor sought by a busy Sheffield practice. Hybrid & negotiable salary!

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Solicitor or CILEx qualified lawyer to join a Private Client team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have approximately five years’ post-qualification experience and a strong background in probate and inheritance tax matters.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a varied and intellectually stimulating caseload, providing expert advice to individuals and families on:

  • Probate and estate administration
  • Inheritance tax planning and mitigation
  • Complex estate structures and tax-efficient strategies
  • Wills, trusts, and succession planning

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on all aspects of probate and inheritance tax
  • Managing estate administration from initial instruction through to final distribution
  • Providing strategic tax planning advice tailored to individual client circumstances
  • Drafting wills, trust documentation, and related instruments
  • Liaising with HMRC and other relevant bodies
  • Maintaining high standards of client care and professional conduct

Candidate Requirements:

  • Solicitor or CILEx qualified lawyer with circa 5 years’ PQE
  • Demonstrable experience in probate, inheritance tax, and estate planning
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
  • Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield
