Your new role
You’ll join a dynamic and growing charities team, working on a broad range of matters including governance, regulatory advice, incorporations, mergers, funding agreements, and collaborations. The role involves close collaboration with experienced partners and access to regular sector training and professional support.
- Charity governance and regulatory advice.
- Establishing new charities and drafting governing documents.
- Funding agreements and collaborative arrangements.
- Charity Commission and Privy Council applications.
- Corporate structuring for charities, including incorporations, mergers, and trading subsidiaries.
- Advising on joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
What you'll need to succeed
- Be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience in charity law.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise in both advisory and transactional charity work.
- Have experience in corporate matters relevant to charities, such as restructures, incorporations, mergers, and joint ventures.
- Possess excellent drafting and written communication skills.
- Show a genuine interest in the charity and not-for-profit sector.
- Be confident working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Have a proactive approach to client service and business development.
- Experience with other not-for-profit structures is desirable but not essential.
