A specialist subcontractor based in Lisburn is currently hiring a Contracts Manager to join their team. The company specialises in the design, manufacture, and installation of structural steelwork solutions across a range of sectors including rail, commercial, residential, and hospitality, and has a host of high-profile clients within their orderbook.

Your new role

As Contracts Manager, your role will be to ensure the delivery of projects in a quality and timely manner, by working closely with the Design team and the Production department. You will be involved in programming and scheduling work using MS Project while also working closely with clients to maximise outputs and help efficiencies across the business.
Duties will include but not be limited to:

Manage multiple steel fabrication contracts simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors. Attend meetings, provide updates, and resolve issues promptly.
Develop and monitor project timelines, coordinating with design, procurement, and production teams to meet milestones using MS Project software
Prepare and manage budgets, monitor costs, and ensure profitability.
Work with Procurement & Supply Chain to ensure products are available when required to meet the demands of the business.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Work closely with management and install teams to ensure all fabrication and installation work meets required quality standards and specifications.

What you'll need to succeed

This is a primarily office-based role with some site visits across Ireland required, and you will ideally come from a construction contracting background and possess knowledge of steel fabrication processes and construction methods.
You will have excellent contract and commercial management skills as well as be proficient in project management tools and software (e.g. MS Project, AutoCAD)
Ideally, you will have an HND/Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related industry experience.
