Your new role

As a Procurement Officer, you will play a key role within the Finance and Governance team, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager. You’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering and quotation processes, providing expert procurement advice, and supporting the delivery of strategic procurement initiatives aligned with corporate objectives.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Leading tender and quotation processes, including evaluation, negotiation, and reporting.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on procurement policy and compliance.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of tender specifications and documentation.
  • Maintaining a central register of contracts and procurement data.
  • Supporting contract management and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Identifying opportunities for collaborative procurement and cost efficiencies.
  • Deputising for the Procurement Manager when required
What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant procurement experience and either:
    • A qualification leading to Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) membership, or
    • 4 years’ experience with a willingness to work towards CIPS membership within 3 years.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, ideally within a public sector or regulated environment.
  • Excellent organisational, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and deliver results.
