Senior Project Lead on a £50m education project in the Essex area

Your new company

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a landmark £50m new-build school development. This is a career-defining opportunity to join a Tier 1 contractor at the forefront of education sector construction.

Your new role

As Senior Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of this high-profile scheme from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll orchestrate multidisciplinary teams, manage risk, drive programme, and ensure exacting quality and safety standards are maintained throughout.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the full project lifecycle delivery of a £50m school scheme
  • Champion health & safety, quality, and programme compliance on site
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, design, and operational teams
  • Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic oversight to the site team

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience of delivering large-scale projects (£30m+) in the commercial sector
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in construction management or related field
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black), First Aid certified
  • Commercial awareness with a meticulous eye for detail and quality
  • Adept at driving programmes and resolving challenges collaboratively
