Teacher of Computing – Blackpool
Hays Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded and welcoming secondary school, seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Computing on a permanent basis from September.
This is an exciting opportunity for an early career teacher or experienced practitioner to join a supportive and forward-thinking school community committed to high standards and student achievement.
The Role
As a Teacher of Computing, you will deliver engaging and innovative lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for a suitably experienced candidate. You will play a key role in inspiring students to develop confidence and curiosity in digital technologies, programming, and computer science.
You will contribute to a dynamic curriculum that prepares students for the digital future, fostering problem-solving skills, creativity, and responsible use of technology.
The school benefits from excellent transport links, making it easily accessible by both public transport and major road networks, ensuring a convenient commute for staff travelling from the surrounding areas.

The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Has experience teaching Computing/ICT across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge, including programming and digital systems
- Has a passion for computing and the ability to inspire students of all abilities
- Can deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons
- Shows excellent classroom management and a supportive teaching style
