Compliance manager for growing sustainable business
Your new company
A well‑established and growing energy services organisation is looking for a commercially minded Compliance Manager to strengthen its governance, risk and regulatory functions. With over two decades of success and a growing customer base, the business is well positioned for continued expansion and now requires a dedicated compliance professional to support its next phase of growth.
Your new role
Reporting to a member of the board, you’ll act as the central coordination point for all compliance, regulatory, health & safety, contractual governance and legal liaison matters.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the organisation’s compliance framework and monitoring regulatory change.
- Acting as the lead for industry‑specific regulatory matters, including Ofgem‑related obligations.
- Overseeing GDPR, data protection processes and third‑party risk controls.
- Leading internal audits and ensuring consistent customer onboarding governance.
- Owning the Health & Safety framework, audits and external certifications.
- Coordinating early‑stage disputes and managing external legal counsel.
- Supporting HR with employment‑related matters via external advisers.
- Overseeing contract governance and coordinating contract reviews and negotiations.
What you’ll need to succeed
Essential:
- 5+ years’ experience in compliance, risk or governance
- Strong stakeholder‑influencing skills and experience managing external advisers.
- Robust understanding of GDPR, regulatory compliance and health & safety.
- Experience with audits, policy development and implementation.
Desirable:
- Experience within the energy sector or another regulated environment.
- Exposure to ISO frameworks or construction compliance.
