Hours: Full time (term time), with an annual expectation for an additional 20 days to be carried out outside of term-time.

Your new school
Gretton School is an independent specialist school for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, specifically high functioning autism. We welcome students from 5—19 years old, as weekly boarders or as day students. Based just outside Cambridge, we work with 12 counties to provide a broad and individualised education for these unique and wonderful students. The school is growing and developing, its integrated therapeutic team are working tirelessly alongside the management team and the teaching and support staff to further develop our fantastic practise and outcomes. Your new role
Gretton School is seeking a dedicated and experienced DSL, Compliance and Quality Lead to join our School Leadership Team. This pivotal role ensures whole-school compliance across Safeguarding, Data Protection, and Quality Assurance - including our Residential provision.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead safeguarding strategy and oversee a team of Designated Staff for Safeguarding.
  • Ensure compliance with DfE, Ofsted, ISI, ISS, NMS, and autism-specific regulations.
  • Oversee policy development, safer recruitment, and data protection (GDPR).
  • Drive the school’s Quality Assurance processes and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards across all areas of school life.

  • Proven leadership in safeguarding and compliance within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication, strategic planning, and team management skills.
