A local authority is seeking an experienced commercial property lawyer to join its legal team on a rolling contract. Your new role

As a Commercial Property Lawyer, you’ll provide expert legal advice on a broad range of property matters. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure transactions are legally robust, commercially viable, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, negotiate, and review property contracts, leases, and agreements.

  • Advise on landlord and tenant matters, property management issues, and statutory compliance.

  • Support regeneration and development projects, including complex commercial arrangements.

  • Collaborate across departments and with external parties to deliver efficient, cost-effective solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • E&W-qualified solicitor with strong commercial property experience (7+ years as a guideline) and a proven track record in property transactions and title matters.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Local authority experience is desirable.
