Your new role
As a Principal Associate in the Commercial, IT and IP team based in Birmingham, you will work on a diverse range of high-value and strategic matters. These include commercial contracts, outsourcing agreements, IT and IP licencing, data protection, and agency/distribution arrangements. You’ll collaborate with major UK and international clients across various sectors. The role also offers opportunities for leadership, team supervision, and involvement in business development initiatives. You’ll be part of a nationally integrated team, working alongside senior leaders and specialists in the field.
What you'll need to succeed
- Be a qualified solicitor with 6+ years’ PQE, ideally from a City or large regional firm.
- Have strong technical expertise in commercial, IT, and IP law.
- Demonstrate a pragmatic, client-focused approach to legal advice.
- Show a keen interest in how businesses operate and the commercial relationships that drive them.
- Be enthusiastic about business development and leadership opportunities.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be committed to delivering outstanding client service and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
