Procurement Lead, Commercial Lead, Senior Procurement Officer
A large public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement and Contracts Manager to lead strategic procurement and contract management within the Professional Services category.
This is a high-impact role supporting transformation goals, driving value for money, and ensuring robust supplier performance and governance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement strategies and end-to-end sourcing for Professional Services.
- Manage major contracts, ensuring compliance, performance, and value delivery.
- Support stakeholders with business cases, market analysis, and procurement planning.
- Oversee supplier relationships and resolve operational supply issues.
- Ensure accurate documentation, action tracking, and contract governance.
- Contribute to long-term category planning and transformation initiatives.
Essential Experience
- Strong background in procurement, category, and contract management.
- In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and procedures.
- Proven experience in drafting tender documents and managing sourcing strategies
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- CIPS certification or willingness to work towards MCIPS.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Understanding of responsible procurement, sustainability, and social value.
- Knowledge of category management principles and commercial documentation.
