Commercial Gas Engineer – Mobile Role (Yorkshire Region)
Location: Yorkshire Region
Contract Type: Temporary (Long-Term) – Potential to Go Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with possible on-call duties
Pay Rate: £25 per hour (PAYE) – Weekly pay through Hays

Are you a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to go permanent? We're hiring for a mobile role across the Yorkshire region, working on a well-established commercial contract. This is a varied position with a 50/50 split between gas and plumbing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- ✅ Carry out reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial gas systems.
- Perform plumbing maintenance tasks across multiple commercial sites.
- Report directly to the Contracts Manager.
- Respond to emergency call-outs and participate in the on-call rota when required.
- Work independently and manage your own schedule across various locations.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold valid Commercial Gas Tickets, including:
- COCN1 – Core Commercial Gas Safety
- ICPN1 – Installation of Commercial Pipework
- CIGA1 – Indirect Fired Appliances
- CDGA1 – Direct Fired Appliances
- TPCP1A – Testing and Purging
- Proven experience in the commercial sector is essential.
- Strong plumbing skills and ability to handle maintenance tasks confidently.
- Full UK driving licence – a company van will be provided.
