Job title: Refrigeration engineer
Location: Candidates must live in the EH or KY
Employment Type:Permanent, Full-time
Hours:Monday – Friday (40 hours a week)
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You'll be working across foodservice, hospitality, and food & drinks retain maintaining and repairing a wide range of chilled and frozen display and storage assets for a diverse portfolio of blue-chip clients. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role, ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety and working with high-quality commercial equipment. Please note that to be considered for this position, you must live in a postcode that begins with EH or KY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (including chillers, cold rooms, freezers, and air conditioning equipment)
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective breakdown repairs
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime
  • Ensure all work meets industry regulations and internal safety standards
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams regarding work completed and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Participate in an on-call rota as required

Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Candidates must hold a current, valid F-Gas Certificate (Applicants without this will not be considered).
  • The ideal applicant will possess over 10 years’ experience working in the commercial refrigeration sector, specifically within restaurants and hospitality environments.
  • Strong understanding of commercial refrigeration systems in the foodservice/retails sector.
  • Professional, reliable, and capable of high performance, even during peak summer periods.
  • Full UK driving licence
