Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Accountant / Business Partner to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and providing strategic support to their client. This role involves managing budgets and forecasts, overseeing invoicing processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting through P&Ls and balance sheets. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
    • Provide detailed variance analysis and financial insights to support decision-making.
  2. Invoicing and Revenue Management:
    • Oversee the invoicing process to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  3. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and review monthly P&L statements and balance sheets.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
    • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  4. Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as a key financial advisor to business units, providing insights and recommendations.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Present financial results and forecasts to senior management and other stakeholders.
  5. Strategic Support:
    • Support strategic initiatives by providing financial modelling and analysis.
    • Participate in business planning and strategic development.
    • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Part qualified - ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
