Gretton School is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented part time Cleaner to join our team.

School Cleaner (Part-Time)
· Salary: £12.21 per hour
· Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time,
· Contract Hours: 10 am - 2 pm, Monday to Friday, 42 weeks a year (Term Time Only Plus 3 Weeks)
· Start Date: Subject To Notice Period
· Location: Manor Farm Road, Girton, Cambridge, CB3 0RX & The Rectory, 65 High Street, Girton, Cambridge, CB3 0QD

Your new school
Gretton School welcomes students from 5 to 19 years old, as weekly boarders or as day students. Every student at Gretton has a diagnosis of autism with the ability to achieve at high levels and every student is different. As autism specialists, we understand that consistent daily routines and staffing help to keep anxiety at a minimum and ensure that our students feel safe and confident in their surroundings. We have a high staff student ratio and classes are small and personal. We know each of the students really well and employ the best strategies to support them in their everyday school life.

Based just outside Cambridge, we work with 12 counties to provide a broad and individualised education for these unique and wonderful students. The school is growing and developing. Its integrated therapeutic team are working tirelessly alongside the management team and the teaching and support staff to further develop our fantastic practice and outcomes.

Your new role
As part of the cleaning team, your role involves maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the premises, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be responsible for managing supplies, reporting any issues to the appropriate supervisors, and supporting the overall operations of the facilities team.
  • Be promoting and adhering to health and safety standards is a fundamental aspect of your duties, which includes participating in scheduled deep cleaning sessions.

The role demands proficiency in English, cleaning experience, safeguarding awareness, flexibility, deadline adherence, independent work capability, and a keen eye for detail. Professional development through training is also encouraged.
