The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Claims Handler with a background in Highways, Construction, or Insurance? We are looking for a focused and resilient individual to join a busy team in Northampton. This is an immediate requirement where you will take ownership of 3rd party highway claims, specifically focusing on pothole damage and infrastructure-related incidents.
The Role
Working within a fast-paced environment, you will manage the end-to-end claims process. You will be responsible for:
- Claims Processing: Managing a high volume of 3rd party highway claims (Pothole damage).
- Investigation: Reviewing evidence, site reports, and contractor data to determine liability.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Communicating with claimants, legal teams, and internal highways departments.
- Data Integrity: Ensuring all claims are logged accurately and progressed within strict legal and internal timelines.
Working Pattern (Hybrid)
This role offers a flexible balance of office and homework:
- In-Office: 2–3 days per week (Must be in the office every Tuesday and Wednesday).
- Remote: Remaining days can be worked from home.
What You’ll Need
- Essential: Previous experience in Claims Handling.
- Preferred: Direct experience within the highways or construction sectors.
- Technical Savvy: Ability to navigate complex internal databases and 3rd party portals.
- Communication: A professional and empathetic telephone manner, combined with clear, concise written skills.
- Urgency: Available for an ASAP start.
