We are working in partnership with one of Northern Ireland’s longest‑established engineering consultancies. Over the decades, they’ve built a reputation for delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects across public and private sectors. Their portfolio spans water and wastewater infrastructure, public realm improvements, drainage and flood alleviation schemes, highways, bridges, waste management facilities, and sports and recreation developments. Recent commissions have included major infrastructure masterplans, drainage upgrades in Belfast, flood alleviation works, and public realm regeneration projects across the region. Your new role
As a Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in both design and project management. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and reviewing technical designs and drawings.
- Managing projects from concept through to completion.
- Coordinating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
- Overseeing site activities and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and site staff.
- Driving innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3–4 years’ proven experience in civil engineering.
- Strong capability in both design and project management.
- Chartered or working towards chartership with ICE (desirable).
- Knowledge of engineering design software and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Previous experience in infrastructure, roads, or utilities projects in Northern Ireland is advantageous.
