Housing Team Leader, Team Leader Jobs Southampton

With a strong presence in the Southampton area, the team works collaboratively to promote independence, wellbeing, and long-term housing stability for service users.


Your new role

As Housing Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Housing Support Workers, ensuring the delivery of effective, person-centred support to residents. You’ll manage day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and housing regulations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll also liaise with external agencies, manage caseloads, and contribute to service development.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a housing, homelessness, or supported accommodation setting, including substance misuse
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation, safeguarding, and tenancy management
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to service needs
  • IT literacy and experience using case management systems
  • A relevant qualification in housing, social care, or support services (desirable)
