Social Worker job (adults) – Good Hope Hospital – Birmingham - Immediate start – paying up to £28.16.

Your new company

Hays are recruiting on behalf of Birmingham City Council for Qualified Social Workers based in Birmingham Good Hope Hospital.

Your new role

In this position, you will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have recently worked as a qualified Adult Social Worker with experience of keeping and maintaining accurate records, making sure any assessment statuses, admissions and discharges are captured correctly and initial assessments. You will have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable pick up new and existing cases, in particular safeguarding and mental capacity assessments. It is imperative that you have an in-depth understanding and be able to manage any challenges with appropriate methods which will vary from case to case. Working in front door wards, with safeguarding, discharge, pathway 1 and pathway 2 to avoid admissions.

The Good Hope Hospital OPAL team work a 7-day service, working one weekend in 4. 35 hrs per week.
Onsite 4 days with 1 day remote working.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will need to
Have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/B.Sc. in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW)
Social Work England registration
2 years post-qualifying experience.
Previous experience working within Social Work adults services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to travel as required.
