Attendance & Parental Involvement Officer

Location: Bradford
Contract: Temporary (ASAP start – July 2026)
Hours: 8:00am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only, 30 hours per week)
Pay: £16–£17 per hour

About the Role
We are working with a warm, welcoming primary school in Bradford that is seeking an experienced Attendance & Parental Involvement Officer to join their team on a temporary basis until the end of the academic year in July 2026.

This is a Good Ofsted-rated school with excellent behaviour, a supportive leadership team, and a genuinely positive working environment. The successful candidate will be someone who can step confidently into the role and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, track, and analyse pupil attendance on a daily basis.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with parents and carers
  • Work closely with senior leaders, safeguarding staff, and external agencies
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and prepare reports
  • Support families facing barriers to attendance, offering guidance and signposting
  • Promote parental engagement and involvement in school life
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has previous experience in an attendance, pastoral, or family support role
  • Can hit the ground running with minimal supervision
  • Communicates confidently and professionally with families and colleagues
  • Is organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting children’s education.
  • Understands safeguarding and confidentiality requirements
  • Holds a full enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
