Young Persons Support Worker - Rhyl, North Wales - Therapeutic Young Person's Residential Home

We are working in partnership with a fantastic service provider in the Rhyl area. They are looking to take on multiple long-term Residential Child Support Workers to help support vulnerable children and young people with emotional and behavioural disorders, Autism, challenging behaviours, and mental health.

These services play a vital role in helping to remove barriers for vulnerable children who have experienced trauma. They provide a wrap-around care service which strives to help children in their education and life skills which will see them into adulthood. Being aware of mental health and de-escalating behavioural methods is essential for this role.

The Home is a 3-bed home, and you will be working with experienced staff members and outside care agencies to provide excellent levels of care.

Your new role

Your new role will require you to care for some of the most vulnerable young people in society. This is a long-term position with the possibility of working full-time or part-time hours with the client looking to ideally take on permanent members of staff. There is also the opportunity for you to work with the other clients that Hays is partners with. Please inform one of the team if you are interested in hearing more about these positions.

What you'll need to succeed

- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Provide at least 2 references
- Have 6 months experience in the last 2 years working with adults or children with similar needs in similar settings, including working in education for other support roles.
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in health and social care
