A leading property consultancy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Consultant to join their on-site team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects and ensure compliance with statutory health and safety regulations across all phases of construction.
Your New Role
As the On-Site H&S Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all health and safety practices on site meet legal and company standards. You will play a key role in supporting the Principal Contractor’s duties under the CDM Regulations 2015, conducting inspections, and producing comprehensive reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans.
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations, acting on behalf of the Principal Contractor.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, producing detailed reports and implementing preventative measures.
- Provide health and safety advice and support to site teams and stakeholders.
- Deliver toolbox talks and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Proven experience in construction health and safety on active sites.
- In-depth knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.
- Strong background in site safety inspections and report writing.
- Experience in managing contracts and fulfilling Principal Contractor CDM duties.
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- Membership of IOSH (or working towards it).
Desirable Qualifications
- Qualified to act as a Principal Designer.
- Qualified to act as a CDM Advisor.
- Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH).
