A prestigious professional services firm with a global presence is seeking an experienced Category Manager to join its Procurement team. Your New Role

As a Category Manager, you will lead strategic procurement initiatives across key spend categories, ensuring the organisation secures the best value while supporting its broader business goals. This is a high-impact role requiring commercial acumen, strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Develop and implement category-specific sourcing strategies
  • Conduct spend analysis and identify optimisation opportunities
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities and supplier negotiations
  • Draft, review, and manage third-party contracts
  • Oversee supplier performance and risk mitigation plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, legal, operations)
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
  • Build and maintain analytical dashboards to track procurement performance

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a minimum of five years’ experience in procurement (preference would be legal industry exposure but open to seeing profiles who operate within the Professional Services industry), with a strong focus on category management. You’ll have a solid background in cost management, supplier negotiation, and contract law, along with proficiency in procurement systems, business intelligence tools, and Excel. Advanced data analytics capabilities are essential, as are excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills. You should also be confident in influencing stakeholders at all levels across the organisation. A CIPS qualification is preferred.
