Opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join an exciting high-growth software company in Belfast.

Your new company

We’re recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing software business that delivers tailored digital solutions to specialised industries across the UK, Ireland, and North America. With a strong market presence and a people-first culture, the company is expanding its commercial team to support strategic growth across two core business units: ERP software and inventory optimisation.

This is a newly created role offering the chance to shape the future of business development within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Your new role

As Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving growth across key markets by identifying and engaging potential clients. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset—someone who thrives on starting meaningful conversations, challenging conventional thinking, and uncovering new opportunities. You’ll take ownership of building a strong pipeline, laying the foundation for long-term commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and qualify leads through outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn) and inbound follow-up.
  • Apply structured qualification frameworks (e.g. BANT) to assess lead quality and fit.
  • Manage your own top-of-funnel pipeline from initial contact to handover.
  • Conduct market research to identify high-potential accounts aligned with the Ideal Customer Profile.
  • Collaborate with marketing to enhance digital campaigns and LinkedIn strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and contribute to CRM best practices.
  • Partner with internal teams to shape solutions and refine messaging.

What you'll need to succeed

We’re looking for a commercially minded, curious self-starter who thrives on building relationships and uncovering new opportunities. You should be confident engaging with senior stakeholders, resilient in the face of rejection, and eager to learn and grow.
Key Requirements:
  • 3+ years in Business Development, Sales Development, or Inside Sales (ideally in B2B SaaS or vertical software)
  • Proven track record of meeting outbound and qualification targets
  • Strong communication, discovery, and qualification skills
  • Familiarity with BANT, Challenger, or similar sales methodologies
  • Commercial awareness (e.g. ROI, customer lifetime value)
  • Confident in tailoring messaging to different business personas
  • Proficient in Salesforce and tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Organised, coachable, and performance-driven with a proactive mindset

What you'll get in return

People first culture, creating an environment where everyone feels valued, empowered and supported.
You’ll enjoy excellent benefits including:

  • Annual salary of £35,000 - £45,000 plus bonus

  • Hybrid working model (3 days from home) to support long term flexibility, wellbeing and teamwork
  • 35 days holiday, plus your birthday off, with flexible public holidays

  • Private healthcare, pension scheme, life assurance, wellbeing incentives, fitness and cycle2work schemes, regular social events, excellent family related policies

  • Brand new, state-of-the-art office in Belfast City Centre

  • Access to a host of online training resources and career development opportunities on an on-going basis

  • You will have access to experienced industry experts both locally and across the globe - all with a view to helping you perform at the highest level and grow your career.

  • You will have the opportunity to work across diverse industries, markets, and geographies.
