Permanent Customer Service Team Leader based in Oldham, £33,000 immediate start

Your new company

You’ll be joining a well-established business that operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The organisation prides itself on its down-to-earth culture, where personality and teamwork are highly valued. With an open and supportive management style, the company actively encourages new ideas, process improvements, and positive energy from its people.

Your new role

As a Team Leader, you will oversee a small but busy customer service team of 4–6 advisors. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance managing the team with supporting day-to-day operations.

You’ll be responsible for setting the tone each day, providing a clear action plan for your team and conducting regular check-ins, including a midday review to ensure everyone has the support they need.

Given the high-volume nature of the work, you’ll be expected to lead from the front, including jumping on calls and supporting inbox management during peak times.

You’ll also play a key role in ensuring job requests are actioned within 24 hours, checking job bookings, and maintaining service standards. Alongside this, you’ll bring fresh ideas, look for ways to improve processes, and help develop a high-performing, motivated team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you’ll be an experienced Team Leader or someone with strong supervisory experience who leads by example.
You’ll need:

  • Previous experience in customer service and administrative roles

  • Experience in training, mentoring, or developing team members

  • A hands-on approach with the ability to support operational tasks when required

  • A confident, approachable personality with the ability to manage a vocal, diverse team

  • A positive, proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced workload

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can strike the right balance where you can build strong relationships with your team while maintaining focus and driving performance.
You will also need to be able to work 5 days a week on-site.

What you'll get in return

In return, you’ll receive a salary of £33,000 along with a competitive benefits package, including holiday allowance, pension scheme, and additional company benefits. You’ll also have the opportunity to join a supportive, energetic team environment where your ideas are valued, and your contribution truly makes a difference.
