  • Expertise in operating systems, server, storage, and networking technologies.
  • Proven experience with Cloud platforms & architecture and On-premise Compute & Storage Infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of Virtualisation infrastructure environments, specifically Microsoft Hyper-V & VMware.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server Roles (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, DFS, Group Policy) and Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online).
  • Experience with Mail & Web filtering tools (e.g., Clearswift, Fortinet), VPN solutions (Microsoft Direct Access, Always on VPN), Remote Desktop Services & VDI Solutions, and Backup & Recovery Solutions.
  • Familiarity with Cyber Security & Antivirus Solutions (e.g., SOPHOS, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint) and Endpoint Management Solutions (Microsoft SCCM & Intune).
  • A good working knowledge of resilient electrical systems and other data centre support systems.
  • Strong proven communication and influencing skills with the ability to develop effective relationships across all organisational levels.
  • A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel frequently.
  • Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
