Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organisation-wide cutover strategy, ensuring operational readiness across all services.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute cutover activities including data migration, testing, training, and go‑live support.
- Establish and run the EPR Go‑Live Command Centre, managing incident escalation, downtime processes, and rapid response protocols.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and contingency planning for all cutover workstreams.
- Engage with senior clinical, operational, and digital leaders, as well as external suppliers and system integrators.
- Provide reporting, assurance, and updates to Programme Board and senior stakeholders.
- Lead and develop cutover teams, ensuring staff are trained and prepared for go‑live.
- Drive continuous improvement, capturing lessons learned and refining cutover processes.
Essential experience:
- Significant experience leading cutover or go‑live activities on large digital transformation programmes (ideally NHS/healthcare).
- Strong background in programme/project management methodologies (PRINCE2, MSP, Agile).
- Proven ability to manage complex risks, interdependencies, and operational readiness activities.
- Experience with incident management, command centre operations, and downtime procedures.
- Senior stakeholder engagement experience, including presenting to Boards and steering groups.
- Advanced project/programme management certification (PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, APM, Agile).
Desirable:
- Experience working with EPR suppliers or system integrators.
- Knowledge of NHS digital standards, assurance frameworks, and frontline digitisation programmes.
- Change management and service readiness training (e.g., ITIL).
What You’ll Bring
- Strong strategic leadership skills and the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret complex data for decision‑making.
- A collaborative and structured approach to delivery within high‑pressure environments.
